SMITH, Ark. - After falling in the first game of the weekend, 9-3 on Friday, the final three games were close, but unfortunately for the Northwestern Oklahoma State baseball team, they came up empty in all four, including the final game by one run, 7-6.
At the Plate- Jacob Long had a fantastic weekend, and capped it off going 3-for-5 in the final game of the series with the Lions.
- Jeremy Smith came up big in his at bat as he smoked a double down the left field line. He eventually was brought around to score on a passed ball.
- Only three other Ranges collected hits as Greg Carrington, Xyruse Martinez and Steven Deckard all collected one hit a piece.
The K ZoneGame Changer- The lions were able to collect 15 hits compared to the Rangers' seven in the game.
- As the way the game worked out, whoever had last bats were likely to win as it was a back-and-forth game all throughout the contest and unfortunately for the visitors, UAFS had last bats.
On Deck- Northwestern Oklahoma State will return home next Friday to play a doubleheader with Northeastern State, beginning at 3 p.m. for the home opener.
