Brian Sochia was a star defensive lineman from 1979-82, earning first-team All-OIC and all-district honors during his junior and senior seasons. In 1982, he was selected as an honorable mention NAIA All-American. He ended his Ranger career with 198 tackles. Following his graduation in 1983, Sochia signed with the Houston Oilers of the NFL and began a 10-year pro career. After three seasons in Houston, he was traded to the Miami Dolphins. In 1988, he was chosen to play in the Pro Bowl. During the1991 seasons, Sochia was acquired by the Denver Broncos, and he finished his career in Denver before retiring in 1992. In 10 seasons, the Brasher Falls, N.Y., native played in 112 games and was credited with 243 tackles and 23.5 sacks. Sochia now lives in Elizabeth, Colo.
