He was ranked in the top five games played with 121 and led three of the four years in minutes played. His career-best was in 2005-2006, averaging 10.6 points per game, with 4.2 rebounds, one assist and one steal per game. The four-year starter helped lead the Rangers to four winning seasons, finishing his playing days with a record of 71-50. After Hansen’s final season with the Rangers, he finished 12th in scoring after becoming the 12th player in the 1,000-point club with 1,149 points. He was second in his career in three-pointers with 217.

Hansen earned the Sooner Athletic Conference Sportsmanship Award, was twice selected to the honorable mention all-conference team and was an academic all-conference squad
member. Hansen was also a two-time NAIA Academic All-American. He was routinely on the president’s honor roll and graduated magna cum laude with two degrees from Northwestern
Oklahoma State University. He has a bachelor’s in health and sports science and a master’s degree in education. The Calumet, Okla., native became the assistant coach for Northwestern
