Jeff Allen is a 1987 graduate and a former member of the Ranger baseball program. Known for his versatility, Allen played every position on the infield, including pitcher. Allen played three years for the Rangers where he earned a place in the all-time record book for Ranger baseball.
Allen competed as a student-athlete from 1985 through 1987, graduating with his bachelor’s degree in business. He made an immediate impact in his first season, helping lead Northwestern to a 33-win campaign while batting .271. On the mound, he recorded eight wins and threw 80 innings during the season.
In his three seasons with Northwestern, Allen helped the Ranger baseball program secure three 20-win seasons. He served as a starting pitcher each year and was a fixture at shortstop. His contributions earned him All-Oklahoma Intercollegiate Conference honors, receiving second-team recognition during his senior season.
Allen concluded his career for the red and black in the record books as his .432 batting average currently sits as the eighth best mark for a season and his .354 career average sits him at 16th all time. He also is 15th in total career hits with 133 and 11th in total walks with 69.
Following his collegiate career, Allen found success in the business world. In 1992, he became a partner at Associated Mortgage Corporation and within a year became the president and CEO of the Tulsa-based company. Under Allen’s leadership, the company has opened offices in Tulsa; Oklahoma City; Amarillo, Texas; and Fayetteville and Rogers, Ark.
