Clifford Guy, a native of New Kensington, Pa., played at Northwestern from 1977-1981 after a very successful prep career where he was a three-sport letterman in track, football and basketball. He is the sixth leading scorer in Northwestern basketball history with 1,239 points and gathered more than 500 rebounds in his career.
In his four-year tenure with the Rangers, Guy received numerous awards and honors. During his junior and senior seasons, he was the team captain and earned first team OIC honors. He led the 1980-1981 Rangers to the OIC championship and for his efforts was named to the NAIA District 9 first team. During his senior season, he was the OIC’s leading rebounder with 10.0 rebounds per game and third in scoring with 17.8 points per game. He was once named District 9 Player of the Week after scoring 58 points and 19 rebounds in two games. After his thriving Ranger career, Guy played professional basketball from 1981-1982 for the CBA Alberta Dusters.
 
Guy now lives in Arnold, Pa., with his wife Christine and has two daughters, Kristen and Lisa. He has worked at Allegheny Academy for 21 years and is a master senior counselor.
